Yup, her and Tsunku have been pretty close even since the beginning of H!P, (he stated her as one of his influences in creating early H!P music, etc.) so using her songs is easy as pie and may not really cost much of anything since they are with the same agency.

Apparently the whole single is going to be full of MoriChi songs. Hae Otoko and Ame. Being C/W songs.





I freakin' LOVE Ame. Ichikawa Yui and Matsushita Moeco both covered it. So I hope it's true.

She also did just make a comeback herself last year after around 10 years of hiatus, so why not use the opportunity for sly inside promotion for Moritaka's new music while just giving H!P fans a bunch more crap to consume without having to do much work at all to produce it? I was just saying on like, Thursday or Friday, that C-ute is due for a single. I like this song! I hope this cover is a good one, and not a trainwreck like some of their self covers just were on their album. o_O BUT I AM EXCITED.

- He chose this song because the release date lines up with the 2 year anniversary of the Tohoku Earthquake and people on the internet were saying that the lyrics of this song would be comforting to the people of Tohoku. Also it's Moritaka's 25th anniversary of her debut. [Side note: 2nd anniversary of a death is very important to the Japanese].



- Some of the spoken parts and lyrics have been changed to fit Spring 2013. He talked with Moritaka about this.

I actually have no idea - I read it in some comments left by a Japanese fan at a C-ute site. I included it because it makes the idea of a tribute at this timing make more sense. Otherwise it's odd that Tsunku would want to do a tribute now as opposed to last year or the year before. Hopefully Masa or someone more educated than me on the subject can elaborate?

There is no special significance of the 2nd year anniversary other than that it's "an" anniversary of the disaster and will be as important as the 3rd, 4th, 5th... etc
