Akari looks so nice in the black/white outfits cover. Meimi really looks nice with this hair!! I'm not sure if I like Rina's bob yet or not. Also, looks like Kana is getting a push, but she really looks lovely in the purple dress.

Why are they pushing Meimi to the back? I thought she is one of the lead singers, I adore her so much. Rina and Kana's voice are good but Meimi's smile is amazing. I love Kana's purple dress.Dawa would make a beautiful young bride.

Am I the only one around here who can no longer give a damn about S/mileage?



I really tried to get used to the new lineup but I can't see Kanon and Ayaka without thinking of Saki and Yuuka. I don't blame the new girls, they're fine and cute and all. Especially Take-chan who is really funny, Meimi who can genuinely sing, Kana and Rina being totally adorable but the whole Saki and Yuuka thing just ruins the whole thing for me.



It's not even that members leaving and new members joining is a bad thing, but I guess the way the events played out was kinda shitty. It certainly seemed like Saki and Yuuka chose to leave because of the new girls joining but I don't think we'll ever know the whole truth either way.



I can't watch a current S/mileage performance without wishing for the original line up to come back.

I'm very biased to the 4nin S/mileage.

I'm the exact opposite. I never was a huge fan of Yuuka, and honestly, she ruined the 4nin group for me, so I completely forget about them... I feel like the current group has really good chemistry, and all of the girls individual weaknesses play off the others strengths. Rina and Kana don't really shine, but the other 4 really stand out to me.

I like the group S/mileage more now then the original, but their songs suck something bad. Back then, I LOVED the songs, but the only one I cared about was Kanon. I was never a fan of the other girls, Saki was probably a close semi-favorite.

It's not that I don't care about the new girls but I do know what you mean Rob. 4nin S/mileage and Berryz were pretty much the only groups I still followed in my couple years away from the bbs, and I kind of paid attention to the 2nd gen auditions but not really, and Saki and Yuuka were my favorites so...yeah I like all the new girls in their own way but I don't follow them as closely as I did with 4nin?

I like the current S/mileage a lot better. Pretty much just like PQ, I liked the old songs but the only member I cared about was Kanon. And then the songs faded off really quickly for me so I was really losing interest until the new girls came along and made the group dynamic much more interesting. I think they've had a string of a few less exciting songs though, which brings the group down some.



I'm confused though rob. You were always the guy who went on about not being stuck in the past and moving on. I'm surprised you don't have that attitude about S/mileage.

I like the new songs! I know a lot of people want S/mileage to be nothing but mini skirts and super upbeat songs, but I think it's good that they're trying new things, especially since Dawa and Kanon are getting older. Also I think it needs to be said but... Yuuka wasn't that great. If anything, she was probably the least remarkable part of 4-nin S/mileage.

I don't mind at all that they're trying new things, I encourage it too. I actually really liked the b-side to Tabidachi, that was a great sound for them. I like Suki yo, Samui ne, and Tabidachi - the problem for me is more that they're just okay songs, not amazing songs or super catchy songs. I keep up with them because I like the members so much, but if it were another group I'd probably be losing focus. Because they're not as popular, I feel like they really need a few amazing songs to their credit.



And I totally agree about Yuuka, I never understood the hype.

If Meimi hadn't showed up, I would be a lot more disappointed about Saki being gone since she was a good singer.
